In previous annual reports, Practical Action had concentrated on listing activities instead of showing impact. I wrote a report that focused on the charity’s achievements and how these contributed to its long-term ambitions.

January 2018

I oversaw the roll-out of BACP’s new brand narrative and visual identity, which included staff training and creating tone of voice and brand guidelines. The campaign won an award for Best Brand Re-Launch at the 2018 MemCom Membership Excellence Awards.

I project managed, wrote and designed BACP’s Annual Review and Financial Statements 2016/17. This report went beyond basic legal compliance and explored the theme of transformation. It was praised by senior managers, governors and auditors.

Since August 2018

On Tuesday evenings, you can usually hear me on BBC Radio Leicester’s The A-word. As the programme’s resident What’s On Guru, I present a run-down of the city’s best art, music and theatre events. I sometimes join the Saturday morning team too, reviewing the week’s news stories.

Great Central was Leicester’s bi-monthly newspaper and website covering culture, art and entertainment in the city. In my role as Food and Drink Editor, I focused on the venues, bars, restaurants and shops that form the fabric of Leicester’s nightlife and independent economy.
